“Thinner and lighter, promoting the lightweight development of cables”
Regarding the material products required for cables, during this exhibition, we exchanged views with the technical staff of the cable company on issues related to cable lightweighting. At present, if the weight of the tape can be made lighter and the thickness thinner on the basis of satisfying the performance of the original tape, the weight of the entire cable can be reduced and the efficiency of cable production can be improved.
It is worth mentioning that with the efforts of the past two or three years, the company has successfully controlled the conventional thickness of flame-retardant tapes to about 0.15mm by optimizing the base fabric and coating, and the thinnest one can be 0.12mm. When the flame retardant performance remains unchanged, the flame retardant tape with a thickness of 0.15mm weighs 175g. Compared with the traditional flame retardant tape with a thickness of 0.22mm and a weight of 220g, it can save about 1/4 of the weight and reduce the thickness. 1/4.
