On the afternoon of 22 August, the inauguration report meeting for Dr. Chen Feifei—introduced to the National Post-doctoral Research Workstation of Yangzhou Tengfei Cable & Electrical Material Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Yangzhou Tengfei”) from Fuzhou University—was successfully held in the meeting room on the second floor of the company’s R&D centre. Chen Jing and Chen Yu from the Talent Development Section of the Baoying County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Zou Hongfei (Science & Technology Vice-President of Yangzhou Tengfei) and related R&D staff attended the meeting.    

In June this year Yangzhou Tengfei and Fuzhou University signed a joint-post-doctoral training agreement, appointing Zou Hongfei (the company’s Science & Technology Vice-President) as the enterprise supervisor and Prof. Yu Yan (Dean of Academic Affairs, Fuzhou University) as the university supervisor.    

At the meeting Dr. Chen Feifei delivered his inauguration report on the post-doctoral project “Development of Novel Inorganic Non-metal-based Intumescent Flame-retardant and Fire-resistant Wrapping Tapes”, detailing the research background, objectives, contents, feasibility, innovations and existing research foundation.    

Yangzhou Tengfei established a Jiangsu Post-doctoral Innovation Practice Base in December 2016, and in May 2023 the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security approved the establishment of a National Post-doctoral Research Workstation, which is a key component of the company’s “two stations & three centres” innovation platform. Since 2016 the company has jointly enrolled and successfully trained several post-doctoral researchers with Northwestern Polytechnical University, Jiangsu University, Fuzhou University, Yangzhou University and other institutions.    

The introduction of Dr. Chen Feifei marks a new stage for the workstation. Seizing this opportunity, the company will give full play to its Jiangsu Academician Workstation, Jiangsu Engineering Technology Research Center, Jiangsu Enterprise Technology Centre and Jiangsu Ultra-high-voltage Cable Nano-new-material Engineering Centre, continue to increase investment in product and technology R&D, further enhance core competitiveness and propel corporate sci-tech innovation to a higher level.   (Reported by Zou Hongfei)
