Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released the list of proposed technologies and products for the 2025 Jiangsu Province “Three Firsts and Two News” recognition. It is reported that the “Three Firsts and Two News” is a special recognition system established by the provincial department to promote the development and application of new technologies and new products. It mainly includes four categories: The first category is “First Set (套) of Major Technical Equipment,” which must achieve significant breakthroughs in variety or technical parameters, reach domestically leading or internationally advanced performance levels, and have not yet achieved large-scale market performance. The second category is “First Batch of New Materials,” which must align with national and provincial new material development directions, pass acceptance of major provincial-level or above science and technology projects, or be included in key application demonstration catalogs. The third category is “First Version of Software,” referring to basic or industry-specific software with independent intellectual property rights that is released for the first time. The fourth category is “New Technology and New Product,” referring to innovative achievements with core technologies, completed prototype development, and market sales, in line with industrial development trends.

Yangzhou Tengfei Cable and Electrical Material Co., Ltd. is a national-level specialized and new “Little Giant” enterprise, a national high-tech enterprise, a Jiangsu Province Management Innovation Excellence Enterprise, a Jiangsu Province Innovative Enterprise, and a Jiangsu Province Green Factory. It is engaged in the R&D, production, and sales of cable auxiliary materials. Its products are widely sold to leading domestic cable companies such as Hengtong, Zhongtian, Shangshang, Far East, and Baosheng, and it is a high-quality supplier to world-renowned cable companies such as Prysmian (Italy), Nexans (France), Fujikura (Japan), LS (South Korea), and General Cable (USA).

The company’s project “R&D and Industrialization of Nano Semi-Conductive Buffer Water-Blocking Materials for Ultra-High Voltage Cables” won the third prize of the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award; the project “R&D and Industrialization of Anti-Oxidant Long-Life Flame-Retardant and Fire-Resistant Materials for Nuclear Power and High-Speed Rail Cables” won the first prize of the Jiangsu Province Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award and the Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Transformation Award; the project “R&D and Industrialization of High-Insulation and High-Flame-Retardant Core Wrapping Tape for Special High-Speed Train Cables” won the second prize in the New Materials Category Final of the “Sci-Tech Jiangsu” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition; and the invention patent “Anti-Oxidant Long-Life Flame-Retardant and Fire-Resistant Wrapping Tape” won the first prize of the Jiangsu Province Machinery Industry Patent Award.
